selections for op-amp circuit designs. The following
selections are under the "Op-Amp Circuits" menu.
INVERTING AMPLIFIER--This command calculates the
values for resistors R2 and R3 for a desired gain
given R1. The gain must be less than 0 for an
inverting amplifier.
(Note: The evaluation version limits the gain to
-2).
NONINVERTING AMPLIFIER--This command calculates the
value for resistor R2 for a desired gain given R1.
The gain must be greater than 0 for a noninverting
amplifier.
(Note: The evaluation version limits the gain to
2).
INTEGRATOR--This command calculates the values for
resistors R1, R2 and R3 for an integrator given the
input frequency and a value for capacitor C1. A
default value of .1uF is provided for C1.
(Note: The evaluation version limits the input
frequency to 100Hz).
DIFFERENTIATOR--This command calculates the values
for resistors R1 and R2 for a differentiator given
the input frequency and a value for capacitor C1.
A default value of .1uF is provided for C1.
(Note: The evaluation version limits the input

ERROR TRAPPING:
ETB provides full error trapping and descriptive messages.
If a calculated result is to large to be handled by the
program than the message "Overflow!" will be displayed. If a
value is to small to be displayed than the message "Error!"
will be displayed.
FOR FURTHER REFERENCE:
Many of the circuit design routines in this program are based
on the circuit designs found in the Engineer's Mini-Notebook
series Op Amp Circuits (Copyright (C) 1985 By Forrest M.
Mims, III), and 555 Timer IC Circuits (Copyright (C) 1984 By
Forests M. Mims, III). These books are available at your
local Radio Shack and should provide more in depth theory on
how the circuits operate.
